本文主要研究元話語名詞在國內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)期刊英文摘要各類語步中的應(yīng)用情況。Zellig Harris(1959)提出元話語(Metadiscourse)指“文本中不添加任何命題內(nèi)容的自我反思的語言材料,是關(guān)于話語的話語”(Crismore,1993;Hyland,2004)。Jiang和Hyland(2016,2017)在元話語的基礎(chǔ)上提出了元話語名詞(Metadiscursive nouns):指標(biāo)記篇章結(jié)構(gòu)并塑造讀者篇章理解的名詞資源。由于元話語名詞從屬于抽象名詞的范疇,因此這一概念除固定的含義外也包含不同語境下產(chǎn)生的語用意義(如fact,attitude,idea等),在學(xué)術(shù)論文中起著不可忽視的作用。名詞化是元話語名詞中的一個(gè)重要的分支(Yoon C.,2017),作為一種有效的銜接手段,能夠?qū)⑶懊嫫轮斜磉_(dá)形式為動(dòng)詞,形容詞,從句或句子的話語壓縮成單個(gè)名詞或詞組為后面的命題提供已知信息。因此名詞化在學(xué)術(shù)論文中的作用與元話語名詞的功能有很多共同之處:既是一種銜接手段,也是一種立場(chǎng)表達(dá)。元話語名詞相關(guān)研究主要集中在描述性研究與實(shí)證性研究兩類。描述性研究多從元話語名詞的搭配、功能、分類等理...
