認知語法視角下的英語現(xiàn)在進行體研究

“體”是英語動詞的特征之一,是用來表示動作或過程在一定時間內處于何種狀態(tài)的動詞形式,分為完成體和進行體。英語進行體表示動作的進行,是英語語法的中心部分或核心語法范疇,吸引了國內外大量學者對此結構進行研究。國內外學者分別從傳統(tǒng)語法視角、轉換生成語法視角、功能語法視角、認知語言學視角對英語進行體的基本特征進行了較為細致的研究。但是,很少學者對英語現(xiàn)在進行體結構的認知機制問題做出解釋。因此,本文嘗試從認知語法視角對英語現(xiàn)在進行體的認知機制問題進行研究。在Langacker的認知語法理論下,本文提出了動詞的劃界與解界、側顯、小句入場為英語現(xiàn)在進行體的認知機制。本文運用認知語法中的劃界與解界理論和入場理論,旨在解決以下問題:持續(xù)動詞與非持續(xù)動詞的劃分機制是什么?非過程性和過程性是怎樣轉換的?動詞所突顯的某一過程又是怎樣進入英語現(xiàn)在進行體的?研究得出以下三結論:第一,動詞分為持續(xù)動詞和非持續(xù)動詞,這兩類動詞的劃分認知機制是根據(jù)劃界理論并類比可數(shù)名詞與物質名詞的劃分而區(qū)分的,只有非持續(xù)類動詞才可以用于現(xiàn)在進行體。第二,動詞側顯一個復雜關系,在這一過程中“-ing”形式采取內部視角識解此刻的動作,從而...
