七幕戲劇《蘇伊士以東》(1-3幕)英漢翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告

   這是一篇英漢翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告,選自七幕戲劇《蘇伊士以東》一至三幕。該劇本是由英國(guó)杰出的戲劇家威廉·薩默塞特·毛姆于1922年游歷中國(guó)之后所著。該戲劇發(fā)生在中國(guó)北京,主要講述了女主人公黛西與白人喬治和哈利三個(gè)人之間的愛(ài)情糾葛,目前尚無(wú)中文譯本。該報(bào)告以維爾納·科勒的“等效關(guān)系”翻譯理論為基本指導(dǎo),將翻譯過(guò)程中遇到的諸多難題進(jìn)行總結(jié)并歸納為以下三類(lèi):一、如何實(shí)現(xiàn)詞的對(duì)等比如部分對(duì)等、零對(duì)等和反義對(duì)等;二、如何實(shí)現(xiàn)句子的對(duì)等比如語(yǔ)法結(jié)構(gòu)、表達(dá)方式的對(duì)等;三、如何實(shí)現(xiàn)語(yǔ)境的對(duì)等比如情景語(yǔ)境、文化語(yǔ)境的對(duì)等。對(duì)于詞的層面,譯者將科勒的內(nèi)涵對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)英漢兩種語(yǔ)言之間詞的部分對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將延伸法作為基本翻譯技巧。對(duì)于缺乏對(duì)等此種情況,譯者將內(nèi)涵對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)零對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將推理法和代替法作為基本翻譯技巧;將外延對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)反意對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將反譯法作為基本翻譯技巧。對(duì)于句子層面,譯者將形式對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)語(yǔ)法結(jié)構(gòu)對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將拆分法與組合法作為基本翻譯技巧;將文本類(lèi)型對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)句子表達(dá)方式對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將轉(zhuǎn)換法和重構(gòu)法作為基本翻譯技巧。對(duì)于語(yǔ)境層面,譯者將文本類(lèi)型對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)情景語(yǔ)境對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將代替法和轉(zhuǎn)換法作為基本翻譯技巧;將語(yǔ)用對(duì)等作為實(shí)現(xiàn)文化語(yǔ)境對(duì)等的基本目標(biāo),將代替法作為基本翻譯技巧。通過(guò)翻譯實(shí)踐,該報(bào)告認(rèn)為戲劇翻譯應(yīng)遵循等效原則,合理地運(yùn)用翻譯技巧,盡可能地使譯文語(yǔ)言符合戲劇語(yǔ)言通俗易懂、清晰直接、自然流暢的特點(diǎn),使目標(biāo)語(yǔ)對(duì)目標(biāo)語(yǔ)接收者產(chǎn)生的效果與源語(yǔ)對(duì)源語(yǔ)接收者產(chǎn)生的效果相同。
