【摘要】：1905年,隨著西學東漸的進程和經(jīng)濟社會的發(fā)展,漢語出現(xiàn)了大量的新詞。當時,中國學生的英語學習取得了一定的進展,并在不斷深化。商務(wù)印書館由此看到了對既有術(shù)語和新興術(shù)語進行釋義、歸納、收錄的需要,也越來越認識到準備一本收詞量更大、更加完備的詞典的必要性。于是,時任編譯所長張元濟力邀顏惠慶以及分別來自香港皇仁書院和上海圣約翰書院的其他16位編者,歷時三年,編輯、出版《英華大辭典》�！队⑷A大辭典》初版分為上下兩卷,共收錄英文單詞和短語12萬條,其中包含譯詞、發(fā)音、定義、釋例、圖例以及詳盡的附錄。它的編纂?yún)⒖剂水敃r優(yōu)秀的英英、英中、英和辭典,把握了時代變化的特征,最終成為超越前代詞典并且對后代英華詞典的編纂產(chǎn)生深遠影響的一部綜合性大型辭典。因此,以《英華大辭典》為研究對象,從編纂者、編纂背景、編纂特點等幾個方面對其進行探究,對于考察《英華大辭典》的社會流通和學術(shù)影響具有深遠意義。本文綜合采用歷史研究的方法、比較的方法、數(shù)量統(tǒng)計的方法以及文獻學的方法,在搜集不同版本英英、英和、英華詞典文獻的基礎(chǔ)上,對抽樣詞條進行對比分析。本文的創(chuàng)新性有兩點。其一,宏觀視角與微觀視角的結(jié)合。首先,從宏觀的視角觀察《英華大辭典》的編纂條件、編纂過程、編纂內(nèi)容以及社會流通;其次,從微觀的視角對比分析詞條、義項、釋義、譯詞,用實例來說明《英華大辭典》在義項收錄、詞性劃分、專業(yè)術(shù)語標識、插圖、譯詞選擇及詞典借鑒等幾個方面的特點。其二,大量的詞典文獻觀察比較。截至論文撰寫之始,筆者一共收集了四十多本英英、英和、英華詞典,根據(jù)論文的需要對其中的二十多本進行了細致的觀察,觀察結(jié)果詳見論文。論文主體由五個部分構(gòu)成。序言部分主要介紹論文的選題緣由、學術(shù)梳理和研究現(xiàn)狀三個方面;第一章主要從編纂條件、過程、團隊三個方面來介紹以《英華大辭典》的編纂概況;第二章主要從《英華大辭典》的繼承與創(chuàng)新以及具體編纂特點兩個方面來描述其微觀結(jié)構(gòu)特點;第三章主要探討《英華大辭典》的社會流通和學術(shù)影響;結(jié)語部分總結(jié)前文分析結(jié)果,在研究結(jié)果的基礎(chǔ)上指出《英華大辭典》研究的學術(shù)意義。
[Abstract]:In 1905, with the development of western learning and economic and social development, a large number of new words appeared in Chinese. At that time, Chinese students made some progress in English learning. And in the deepening of the business press from this to see the existing terms and emerging terms for interpretation, induction, inclusion of the need, but also more and more aware of the preparation of a larger number of words. The need for a more complete dictionary. Zhang Yuanji, then director of translation, invited Yan Hui-ching and 16 other editors from Hong Kong and St. John's College in Hong Kong for three years. The first edition of Yinghua Dictionary is divided into two volumes, including 120,000 English words and phrases, including translation, pronunciation, definition and interpretation. Legend and detailed appendix. Its compilation of reference to the excellent English, English, English and dictionary, grasp the characteristics of the changing times. Finally, it becomes a comprehensive dictionary which transcends the previous dictionary and has a profound influence on the compilation of Yinghua dictionaries. Therefore, taking Yinghua Dictionary as the research object, from the compilers, compilation background. It is of far-reaching significance to investigate the social circulation and academic influence of Yinghua Dictionary in several aspects, such as the characteristics of compilation. This paper synthetically adopts the method of historical research and the method of comparison. The methods of quantitative statistics and philology, on the basis of collecting different versions of English, English and English and English Chinese dictionaries, make a comparative analysis of the sample entries. There are two innovative points in this paper. The combination of macro and micro perspectives. First of all, from the macro perspective to observe the compilation conditions, compilation process, compilation content and social circulation; Secondly, from the microscopic perspective of comparative analysis of terms, meaning, interpretation, translation of words, using examples to illustrate the "Yinghua Dictionary" in the meaning of the collection, part of speech division, professional terminology identification, illustrations. Second, a large number of dictionaries have been observed and compared. At the beginning of writing, the author has collected more than 40 English, English, English and English Chinese dictionaries. According to the needs of the paper, more than 20 of them have been carefully observed, the results are detailed in the paper. The main body of the paper is composed of five parts. The preface mainly introduces the reason of the thesis. Academic combing and research status quo; The first chapter mainly introduces the compilation of Yinghua Dictionary from three aspects: compiling condition, process and team. The second chapter mainly describes the microstructural characteristics of Yinghua Dictionary from the aspects of inheritance and innovation as well as the characteristics of its specific compilation. The third chapter mainly discusses the social circulation and academic influence of Yinghua University Dictionary. The conclusion part summarizes the results of the above analysis and points out the academic significance of the study on Yinghua Dictionary.
