華茲生中國(guó)古典詩(shī)歌英譯中的副文本研究

20世紀(jì)60年代以來,西方翻譯理論發(fā)生了重大的轉(zhuǎn)變,從一般層面上的對(duì)兩種語(yǔ)言轉(zhuǎn)換的技術(shù)問題的研究,深入到譯文文本以外因素的研究,即副文本的研究。自此,副文本開始進(jìn)入翻譯研究者的視野。副文本是譯者現(xiàn)身的平臺(tái),直接體現(xiàn)了譯者的翻譯動(dòng)機(jī)、翻譯策略和意識(shí)形態(tài)。同時(shí),副文本為研究譯本在譯入語(yǔ)社會(huì)文化語(yǔ)境中的生產(chǎn)、接受和傳播機(jī)制提供諸多有價(jià)值的線索。對(duì)譯本副文本的研究為翻譯研究帶來新的視角,拓展了翻譯研究的范圍,并深化對(duì)紛繁復(fù)雜的翻譯現(xiàn)象的認(rèn)識(shí)。伯頓·華茲生(Burton Watson)是20世紀(jì)美國(guó)漢學(xué)界和翻譯界從事漢詩(shī)英譯的代表人物之一,對(duì)于華茲生譯本的研究,研究者們只是單純的針對(duì)其文本和翻譯方法、翻譯技巧的研究,極少對(duì)文本以外的材料即副文本的關(guān)注。本論文主要以法國(guó)文論家熱拉爾·熱奈特(Gérard Genette)的副文本理論為理論視角,以華茲生的中國(guó)古典詩(shī)歌譯本為素材,主要研究分析了譯本中的副文本類型:封面、標(biāo)題及附屬頁(yè)、年代表、引言、譯者注及譯本注釋等,以及它們?cè)谧g本中所體現(xiàn)的宏觀功能:原文本的擴(kuò)展與補(bǔ)充功能、譯者的現(xiàn)身功能、目的語(yǔ)讀者文本閱讀和接受的指導(dǎo)功能,以展現(xiàn)副文本作為新的翻譯研...
