從交際性權(quán)力的角度分析學(xué)生譯員在展會(huì)口譯中的會(huì)話協(xié)調(diào)角色

展會(huì)口譯是學(xué)生譯員經(jīng)常參與的一種口譯實(shí)踐。展會(huì)口譯屬于對話口譯,具有很高的交際性。作者在一次展會(huì)口譯實(shí)踐中遇到兩種“反常”現(xiàn)象:一是作者有時(shí)會(huì)剝奪展商說話的權(quán)力,阻礙展會(huì)雙方交流;二是作者的翻譯和協(xié)助有時(shí)被展商的客戶無視,并因此感到尷尬。作者對自己在展會(huì)中的會(huì)話協(xié)調(diào)角色產(chǎn)生了疑惑,并發(fā)現(xiàn)一些學(xué)生譯員也有相似的經(jīng)歷和問題。本研究以交際性權(quán)力為指導(dǎo),通過個(gè)案分析和調(diào)查,旨在解釋出現(xiàn)上述“反常”現(xiàn)象的原因,探究學(xué)生譯員如何在展會(huì)中更好發(fā)揮會(huì)話協(xié)調(diào)角色。個(gè)案分析從話輪轉(zhuǎn)換角度研究了作者的實(shí)踐,調(diào)查則收集了學(xué)生譯員和專業(yè)譯員的意見。文章在已有相關(guān)研究的基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)現(xiàn),學(xué)生譯員在展會(huì)口譯中協(xié)調(diào)展會(huì)會(huì)話與具體的會(huì)話情形有關(guān),但更深層的原因是學(xué)生譯員在展會(huì)會(huì)話中獲得了“受限的”交際性權(quán)力。如果學(xué)生譯員未能正確認(rèn)識(shí)到自己的權(quán)力是有限的,就可能會(huì)出現(xiàn)作者遇到的“反!鼻闆r,即剝奪展會(huì)雙方的發(fā)言權(quán)以及在被展會(huì)雙方無視時(shí)感到難堪。學(xué)生譯員能否發(fā)揮好會(huì)話協(xié)調(diào)角色,促進(jìn)展會(huì)雙方交流,取決于他們對具體場景、自身“受限”的交際性權(quán)力、展會(huì)雙方的體制性權(quán)力及需求的理解,也取決于自身的口譯水平和社交能力。結(jié)合對專業(yè)譯員的采訪,...
