　　唐·德里羅(1936—)是美國當(dāng)代一位偉大的小說家,他的多部作品都為他贏得了不少重要獎項,文學(xué)評論家哈羅德·布魯姆推崇其為美國當(dāng)代最重要的四位作家之一。他于1988年出版的小說《天秤星座》以其獨特的敘事結(jié)構(gòu)和對重大歷史事件的深刻反思驚艷了讀者。在這部小說中,處于特殊的文化氛圍、社會浪潮和政治環(huán)境中個體的身份和主體性問題是作者關(guān)心的議題之一。本論文以《天秤星座》為研究文本,借用精神分析學(xué)中的概念,輔之以身份認(rèn)同理論、媒介理論和后現(xiàn)代社會理論等,探究個體在復(fù)雜的后現(xiàn)代環(huán)境之下面臨的身份困境和主體性缺失問題,并試圖通過分析造成問題的原因為個體如何在美國特殊社會環(huán)境中自處提供意見和建議。論文分為四個部分,其中引言部分涉及《天秤星座》這部作品及作家德里羅的介紹、文獻(xiàn)綜述及論文的研究意義和框架三個層次。第一章結(jié)合當(dāng)時的歷史、政治和社會環(huán)境論述了奧斯瓦爾德尋求群體認(rèn)同的失敗,他在被社會歧視、兩種意識形態(tài)共同排擠以及消費資本主義忽視的情況下成為了局外人。第二章主要借用拉康精神分析學(xué)相關(guān)理論對奧斯瓦爾德在尋求群體認(rèn)同失敗時轉(zhuǎn)而尋求自我認(rèn)同的表現(xiàn)進(jìn)行論述。首先,類型豐富的大眾媒體為存在于媒體社會中的個體提...
