中國古代教學(xué)概念的演變——從字源的角度看

【摘要】:在原始社會(huì)末期,出現(xiàn)了×這種表示"相交"含義的刻畫符號(hào),由此衍生出爻、■、■、■等字,像交錯(cuò)之形。篆文和隸書的教字從"■",簡化以后才從"孝"。"■"所從之"爻",像兵器交錯(cuò)之形,"■"的本義為"兒童仿效成人以兵器操練"。"教"是"■"的分化字,本義是"軍事訓(xùn)練"。甲骨文的搖字,是后世學(xué)字和覺字的本字,其所從之"爻",像木條交錯(cuò)之形,■字的本義,為"重屋式建筑",又稱"明堂"。以■為部首,增加"子"字,構(gòu)成了金文的■字。西周中早期,"■"兼兩義,既指"教",也指"學(xué)",后乃分化,作"■"指"教"。因"■"、"教"音同形近,"■"假借為"教"。
