《哈克貝利費(fèi)恩歷險(xiǎn)記》中話語標(biāo)記語的語用研究
[Abstract]:Discourse markers are a common daily language phenomenon, but they are also commonly used in novels. Discourse markers are words or structures that play a specific pragmatic role in the utterance. The correct use and understanding of discourse markers can not only help us better understand the utterances of others, but also make our discourse more coherent. Therefore, the study of discourse markers has important theoretical and practical significance. This paper attempts to analyze the role of discourse markers in novel texts, using Mark Twain's masterpiece, the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by American novelist Mark Twain. Since the 1970s, linguists, especially pragmatists, have been exploring discourse markers, forming different schools of study. Although there are many achievements in discourse markers, there is no agreement in many aspects. In the study of discourse markers, there are three more influential schools: the coherent school led by Schiffrin and Redeker, the grammatical school led by Fraser, and the relevance school led by Blakemore. Discourse markers have different meanings to different schools of researchers. Based on the existing discourse markers, this paper attempts to explain the functions and functions of discourse markers from the two aspects of discourse generation and discourse understanding, based on the relevance theory of Sperbenr and Wilson. In order to contribute to the further study of discourse markers. This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is an introduction, a brief introduction of discourse markers, to clarify the purpose of this study, importance, research methods, tools, outline the framework of the full text. Chapter two discusses the main schools of discourse markers and points out their advantages and disadvantages. This paper reviews the definition, classification, characteristics of discourse markers and the research results of discourse markers at home and abroad. The third chapter introduces the theoretical basis of this paper, that is, the theoretical framework of relevance theory. It includes two principles of language: cognitive principle and communicative principle, and three important concepts, namely context, communication and reasoning. Chapter four explains the functions and functions of discourse markers in novel texts. In the framework of relevance theory, the analysis frame of this paper is put forward, and the data is analyzed. This paper classifies discourse markers into four categories: contrast, extension, reasoning and topic switching. And the four kinds of markers are analyzed by case study, the context of their appearance and the role achieved. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, summarizes some main findings in this paper, expounds the theoretical value and practical significance of this study. At the same time, some limitations of this study are pointed out, and some suggestions for further study are put forward.
