《法國中尉的女人》的狂歡化特點(diǎn)研究

英國小說家約翰福爾斯的杰作《法國中尉的女人》一出版即受到了國內(nèi)外評(píng)論界的高度關(guān)注。福爾斯如同置身于中古時(shí)期的狂歡廣場(chǎng),有意識(shí)地顛覆小說創(chuàng)作中的各種清規(guī)戒律,把小說的藝術(shù)形式推向了極致。雖然評(píng)論家們紛紛從作品的主題思想、敘事方法、寫作技巧等角度對(duì)這部作品進(jìn)行了深入的研究,但鮮有人把此小說與巴赫金的狂歡化詩學(xué)建立聯(lián)系。筆者嘗試運(yùn)用巴赫金的狂歡化詩學(xué)理論來分析《法國中尉的女人》中所體現(xiàn)的狂歡化特點(diǎn),希望能夠拓寬和加深我們對(duì)這部杰作的理解。 本文分別從狂歡化的復(fù)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu),狂歡化的藝術(shù)思維和狂歡化的體裁三個(gè)方面深入分析了《法國中尉的女人》所具有的狂歡化特點(diǎn),如平等對(duì)話的精神,諷刺性模擬,狂歡化的小丑、瘋子等人物形象。福爾斯通過自己獨(dú)特的敘事方式和藝術(shù)思維將小說成功帶入狂歡領(lǐng)域。他對(duì)小說家傳統(tǒng)地位的挑戰(zhàn)引發(fā)了小說家對(duì)藝術(shù)創(chuàng)新的可能性的積極思考,間接地再現(xiàn)了后現(xiàn)代小說對(duì)傳統(tǒng)藝術(shù)進(jìn)行全面顛覆的反叛精神。然而,《法國中尉的女人》的狂歡并不是對(duì)傳統(tǒng)小說要素的完全否定,而是在保留傳統(tǒng)的同時(shí)通過顛覆性的藝術(shù)形式與之展開對(duì)話。 在充分肯定小說中滲透的狂歡化特征的同時(shí),本文進(jìn)一步指出,《法國中尉的女人...
