漢語中拒絕請(qǐng)求行為的性別差異探究

拒絕,作為日常生活中使用較頻繁的一種言語行為,其本質(zhì)是一種威脅面子的行為,通常要求拒絕者使用禮貌拒絕策略,以減輕對(duì)聽話者面子的傷害,維護(hù)雙方的和睦關(guān)系。一些語言學(xué)家如Beebe(1990)等人對(duì)拒絕策略做過較多的研究,獲得了不少的理論成果,但他們的研究主要集中于跨文化對(duì)比和社會(huì)語用方面,從性別角度對(duì)拒絕語言的研究卻相對(duì)較少。 本文通過語篇補(bǔ)全測(cè)試的問卷方式收集資料,調(diào)查對(duì)象是江西中醫(yī)學(xué)院非英語專業(yè)二年級(jí)的學(xué)生。經(jīng)系統(tǒng)抽樣,選取男女學(xué)生各40名來完成問卷,并講兩組受試的唯一變量控制成性別差異,然后分析八種不同場(chǎng)合下男女受試者所運(yùn)用的拒絕策略通過拒絕這一言語行為,對(duì)比研究男女在拒絕請(qǐng)求時(shí)所運(yùn)用的拒絕策略的差異。經(jīng)過詳盡的資料數(shù)據(jù)分析,結(jié)合三個(gè)社會(huì)語用因素(社會(huì)距離、社會(huì)地位、請(qǐng)求人性別)進(jìn)行討論,發(fā)現(xiàn)男女受試者所使用的拒絕策略存在很大差異。結(jié)果表明：性別可以與社會(huì)語用因素共同作用影響拒絕請(qǐng)求策略的選擇。具體的數(shù)據(jù)顯示,男女受試在拒絕時(shí)都傾向使用間接拒絕策略,如使用“給出理由／借口／解釋”,“表示遺憾／道歉”,“提供其它選擇”等策略的比率比較高,差異也不是很大,但在其他大部分拒絕策略的使用...
