概念隱喻和概念整合的對比分析

  隱喻的研究從古典修辭學(xué)走到認(rèn)知語言學(xué),經(jīng)歷了方法、模式以及思路的變革。亞里士多德將隱喻定義為“將另一物體的名稱來指稱這一物體”。直至上個世紀(jì)80年代,Lakoff等人提出了“概念隱喻理論”,將其從認(rèn)知的角度重新定義為“不僅是一種修辭手法,更是一種認(rèn)知的工具,使人類賴以生存的思維慣勢。(Lakoff,1980) 近期研究呈現(xiàn)這樣的趨勢:語言學(xué)者們以隱喻機(jī)制為中心,開始對概念隱喻和概念整合這兩個理論的異同比較展開探討,將二者進(jìn)行系統(tǒng)的對比分析,總結(jié)出一系列的異同點(diǎn)。本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),前期研究結(jié)果存在如下的局限性: [1]對二者的特點(diǎn)解釋得不夠全面,涵蓋面較淺。 [2]對二者的架構(gòu)分析欠缺深度,尤其是概念整合的合成過程缺乏詳細(xì)說明。 [3]在二理論的構(gòu)建條件和基礎(chǔ),建構(gòu)的合理性,以及層創(chuàng)結(jié)構(gòu)方面,尚存空白。 綜上,學(xué)者普遍認(rèn)為,二者存在明顯差異,有的語言學(xué)家還將其二理論歸為無法兼容的不同學(xué)科領(lǐng)域(Coulson, 2000)。這正是本文要說明的問題,即,二者可以在特定條件下有機(jī)結(jié)合,統(tǒng)一在共同的理論框架下,形成綜合性、適用性更強(qiáng)的綜合性認(rèn)知理論框架,解釋更為廣泛的語言學(xué)現(xiàn)象。這是本文的創(chuàng)新點(diǎn)之一。...
