　　本文用比較文學中平行比較的方法從歷史主義的角度，通過對中英兩國詩人李商隱和約翰·鄧恩的比較，發(fā)現兩位詩人雖異域千秋，但在各自詩歌創(chuàng)作的時代背景、個人生活經歷以及藝術創(chuàng)作手法三個方面有著驚人的相似之處，頗多可比性。據此我們相信正是時代背景、個人生活經歷的偶然共性決定了兩位詩人藝術風格類似的必然。本文的比較本身說明了平行比較研究方法完全可運用于中英比較詩學中，此比較為深入理解、客觀評賞兩位詩人的作品提供了一條有效途徑。同時本文初步探討了中英比較詩學滲透影響的可能性，提出了對兩位詩人繼續(xù)研究的方向。
