[Abstract]:In the known world, African-American writer Edward P Jones tells of Henry Townsend, a slave who became a black slave owner after being redeemed free by his father. In his book, Jones describes the phenomenon of black slave owners who have no barriers to participation in the system of oppressing their own racial companions, which has attracted great attention of the world. His unique narrative technique has become an important means of expressing the theme. This paper analyzes the implicit implication of unknown facts expressed by the author in the known World by means of narrative techniques. On the basis of the traditional narratology theory, based on Gerard Genet's narrative discourse, this paper focuses on the analysis of the narrative level, narrative time and focusing narrative techniques in the known World. The first chapter of this paper introduces the present situation of contemporary narratology and the achievements made in the study of the known World by narrative techniques. The second chapter will analyze the overall framework of the novel from three levels. In order to straighten out the main and secondary plot of the novel. The third chapter starts with the important role of nonlinear narrative time in expressing the meaning of space, and analyzes the unknown facts contained in space under the control of force. The fourth chapter reveals the tragedy implied in the unknown world through the multi-angle analysis of the main events in the novel. This paper will try to find the implicit moral criticism in the unknown world from the perspective of narrative techniques.
