　　本文是一篇英譯漢翻譯實踐報告,源文本選自英國學者克拉克(J.J.Clarke)的《西方之道——道家思想的西化》(以下簡稱《西方之道》)。作為一部介紹道家思想在西方的傳播情況的學術文獻,該書呈現(xiàn)了西方學者對道家思想的認知與反思。在語言層面,源文本既有學術文獻的固有特點,如句法上善用長句、被動句,以求論述客觀;也有因其研究內容不同而具備的特征,如詞匯上善用評價性詞匯。文化層面,源文本含有大量哲學術語、道家術語、典故等或明或暗的引用。交際層面,源文本運用了隱喻及重復的表達方式,以使論說能清楚曉暢。生態(tài)翻譯學認為,翻譯是譯者適應原文本生態(tài)環(huán)境和譯者對譯文進行適應性選擇的交替循環(huán)過程。結合源文本特點,本報告以生態(tài)翻譯學為理論依據(jù),采取“三維轉換”的翻譯策略,從語言、文化、交際三個維度,對一些典型案例進行分析,總結了一些可行的翻譯方法。具體而言,語言維層面,將原文中西方漢學家對道家的評價性詞匯轉換為漢語中的四字詞;采取分譯的方法處理論述長句;將被動句轉換為主動句,使譯文在保留原文含義的基礎上更自然流暢。文化維層面,采用明晰化的方式處理隱含的道家經(jīng)典典故;通過追溯哲學術語的詞源含義,適應性地選擇約定俗...
