影片《阿凡達》中的圖文隱喻認知研究

【摘要】:隨著科學技術的不斷發(fā)展、多媒體和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)絡的廣泛使用,語篇日趨呈現(xiàn)多模態(tài)化的特性。信息的傳遞方式不再是單一的文本,對隱喻的研究也不再僅限于文字層面,而是結合了圖片、聲音、背景等多種模式來共同呈現(xiàn)。圖文隱喻是由圖像和文字協(xié)同作用,或者源域和目標域都是由圖像和文字共同呈現(xiàn)的隱喻。 電影語篇作為一種特殊語篇,能夠傳遞電影情節(jié)、文化內(nèi)涵、潛在意義等信息,這些信息是觀眾在對文字、圖像于一體的“復合話語”進行解碼的過程中得出的。本文從認知語言學的角度出發(fā),以Fauconnier的概念整合理論為理論基礎,對影片"AVATAR"中的文字及圖像材料中的隱喻現(xiàn)象進行認知分析。在簡要介紹圖文隱喻的定義、發(fā)展、特點及其應用的基礎上,本文根據(jù)圖文隱喻的組成方式,從認知的角度將影片" AVATAR"中的圖文隱喻分為三類:偏正式圖文隱喻、并列式圖文隱喻和合成式圖文隱喻;在概念整合理論框架的指導下,著重探討圖文隱喻的具體運作。圖文隱喻的運作是建立在源域和目標域的客觀相似性和主觀相似性基礎之上,在隱喻的運作過程中,文字意義和圖像意義互動,通過受視者的思維加工,由源域映射到目標域,整合成一個新的概念,形成隱喻,其產(chǎn)生的運作結果是反映影片的“生態(tài)、殖民、愛情”三大主題。 本研究的理論和實踐意義在于,首先,本文對電影的研究是從認知語言學的角度,把圖片和文字結合起來,更注重隱喻自身的特點及其動態(tài)的構建過程;其次,通過深入分析電影語篇,為拓展電影語篇分析的研究維度做出了努力,試圖突破傳統(tǒng)的電影研究分析對象單一的局限,加深對圖文隱喻現(xiàn)象乃至廣義的隱喻概念的本質認識;再次,在驗證了認知語言學理論廣泛的解釋面和強大的解釋力的同時,為拓寬多模態(tài)話語分析的研究領域做了新的嘗試;最后,對影片"AVATAR"這一多模態(tài)語篇的解讀注入了些許理性認識,為電影賞析提供了一個較新的視角,有助于觀眾更好地了解這部電影所反映的三大主題。
[Abstract]:With the development of science and technology and the wide use of multimedia and Internet, discourse is becoming more and more multimodal. The transmission of information is no longer a single text, the study of metaphor is no longer limited to the word level, but a combination of pictures, sound, background and other models to present together. Metaphorical metaphor is a metaphorical representation of image and text, or the source domain and target domain are both represented by image and text. As a special kind of discourse, film discourse can transmit the information of film plot, cultural connotation and potential meaning, which is obtained by the audience in the process of decoding the "compound discourse" of text and image. From the perspective of cognitive linguistics and based on Fauconnier's Conceptual Integration Theory, this paper makes a cognitive analysis of metaphorical phenomena in text and image materials in AVATAR. On the basis of a brief introduction of the definition, development, characteristics and application of graphic metaphor, this paper classifies the metaphorical metaphors in AVATAR into three categories: partial formal metaphorical metaphors. Juxtaposed metaphorical and synthetic metaphorical metaphors; Under the guidance of conceptual integration theory, this paper focuses on the concrete operation of metaphorical metaphor. The operation of graph-text metaphor is based on the objective similarity and subjective similarity between the source domain and the target domain. In the process of metaphor operation, the literal meaning and the image meaning interact with each other, and the target domain is mapped from the source domain to the target domain through the processing of the subject's thinking. Integrating into a new concept and forming metaphor, the result of its operation is to reflect the three major themes of "ecology, colonization and love". The theoretical and practical significance of this study lies in: first, the study of film in this paper is from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, the combination of pictures and words, pay more attention to the characteristics of metaphor and its dynamic construction process; Secondly, through in-depth analysis of film discourse, the author makes efforts to expand the research dimension of film discourse analysis and tries to break through the single limitation of traditional film research and analysis object. Deepen the understanding of the nature of metaphorical phenomena and even the concept of metaphor in a broad sense; Thirdly, while validating the extensive explanatory surface and powerful explanatory power of cognitive linguistics theory, a new attempt has been made to broaden the research field of multi-modal discourse analysis. Finally, the interpretation of "AVATAR", a multimodal text, infuses some rational understanding, which provides a relatively new perspective for the film appreciation, and helps the audience to better understand the three major themes reflected in the film.
