批評話語分析興起于20世紀(jì)70年代，以研究語言、權(quán)力和意識形態(tài)的關(guān)系為主要內(nèi)容，旨在通過對表面語言形式的研究來揭示隱藏在語言背后的意識形態(tài)。新聞話語作為權(quán)力斗爭和意識操控的重要場所，一直都是批評話語分析領(lǐng)域的研究熱點(diǎn)。但通過回顧前人文獻(xiàn)，作者發(fā)現(xiàn)大部分研究以政治新聞或戰(zhàn)爭、災(zāi)難、大型體育活動等轟動性事件作為分析語料，而相對較中性的經(jīng)濟(jì)新聞卻沒有得到足夠的重視。 雖也有一些學(xué)者從批評話語分析的角度對經(jīng)濟(jì)新聞進(jìn)行了研究，但由于批評話語分析研究本身具有的語料小、研究過程中分析者個人意識形態(tài)難以避免等局限性以及語言和社會政治經(jīng)濟(jì)環(huán)境的發(fā)展變化，已有的研究結(jié)果尚不具備很強(qiáng)的普遍性。因此,在前人研究的基礎(chǔ)上，本研究采用不同的分析工具考察新語境下的新語料中語言和意識形態(tài)的關(guān)系，以期和前人的研究相互印證、相互補(bǔ)充，進(jìn)而對批評話語分析的研究有所豐富。 本研究選取《紐約時報(bào)》在2010年10月至2011年10月這一時間段內(nèi)對中國經(jīng)濟(jì)增長的新聞報(bào)道為語料，從批評話語分析的角度探究選取的語料中是否隱含了一定的意識形態(tài)，如果答案是肯定的，這些意識形態(tài)又是怎樣嵌入貌似客觀公正的新聞話語的,又受到哪些社會政治...
