【摘要】:萬方是一位有著獨(dú)特風(fēng)格的當(dāng)代作家,在三十多年的創(chuàng)作中,她不斷地調(diào)整自己的寫作姿態(tài),追求藝術(shù)的真淳,為讀者奉獻(xiàn)了諸多一個(gè)有社會(huì)責(zé)感的作家對(duì)人生、命運(yùn)、人性等問題所投入的觀察與思考。論文以萬方的小說及其創(chuàng)作歷程為研究對(duì)象,考察了萬方幾十年文學(xué)追求之不同階段的藝術(shù)目標(biāo)、特質(zhì)、走向和創(chuàng)作所遇“瓶頸”,分析了萬方的創(chuàng)作兩次遭遇自我挑戰(zhàn)而“轉(zhuǎn)向”的緣由,探討了萬方融于筆端的情感立場(chǎng)和作品所呈現(xiàn)的“寬容”的文化立場(chǎng),對(duì)萬方及其作品中的價(jià)值取向也予以了相應(yīng)的闡釋。論文三章的主要內(nèi)容如下:初登文壇時(shí),萬方刻意選擇“以重?fù)糁亍钡臄⑹乱燥@示自己的與眾不同。這時(shí)期的敘事之“重”首先體現(xiàn)在她小說人物性格的塑造上。這時(shí)期,萬方塑造的小說人物性格都過于偏執(zhí),情感始終囿于狹隘的自我天地中。當(dāng)面對(duì)生命不可承受之重時(shí),他們選擇以暴力極端的方式來反抗矛盾沖突,而人物的結(jié)局多指向死亡。這時(shí)期的敘事之“重”也體現(xiàn)在小說結(jié)構(gòu)的安排上。萬方將“戲劇沖突”運(yùn)用在小說結(jié)構(gòu)中,她喜歡用“突轉(zhuǎn)”和“巧合”等戲劇手法來推動(dòng)故事情節(jié)的發(fā)展,制造和化解矛盾。這時(shí)期的敘事之“重”還體現(xiàn)在小說的結(jié)局上。萬方這時(shí)期的小說大多是沒有結(jié)局的結(jié)局,她或者不設(shè)定小說人物的未來,或者在小說情節(jié)發(fā)展的高潮處戛然而止,追求給讀者留下想象空間。這既是萬方對(duì)小說結(jié)構(gòu)的理解與選擇,也是她對(duì)生活與命運(yùn)的一種認(rèn)知與判斷。2000年,萬方的創(chuàng)作經(jīng)歷了第一次“轉(zhuǎn)向”,她意識(shí)到“以重?fù)糁亍钡姆绞狡x了生活原本的軌道,開始思考創(chuàng)作的“平和”、“緩慢”與“松弛”等問題。萬方的創(chuàng)作“轉(zhuǎn)向”經(jīng)歷了一段力圖對(duì)“人生狀態(tài)”予以“準(zhǔn)確”表達(dá)的癡迷求索。一方面,她通過書寫種種愛情問題,不斷追問并回答“愛情對(duì)生命究竟意味著什么”;另一方面,她“糾纏”于命運(yùn)和中年婚姻帶給人們的一些說不清、道不明的“混沌感”,一心想通過對(duì)這種“混沌感”的“準(zhǔn)確”表達(dá),更真實(shí)地傳達(dá)一個(gè)作家對(duì)人生、人性、命運(yùn)等問題的觀察與思考。小說鮮明的情感價(jià)值取向,體現(xiàn)了萬方作為一個(gè)有社會(huì)責(zé)任感的作家的崗位意識(shí)。然而,“人生狀態(tài)”的千差萬別也讓萬方對(duì)一些問題的苦苦追求顯得有些自我糾纏,但這也為萬方走向另一個(gè)新的創(chuàng)作目標(biāo)留下了空間。2008年,萬方的創(chuàng)作又接受了一次自我挑戰(zhàn)。她受惠于自己的人生變故和精神創(chuàng)痛,終于能夠從“糾纏”于人生的某些狀態(tài)中跳出,放下“計(jì)較”和偏執(zhí)面對(duì)人生和寫作。她不再苦苦追蹤生活的真相,選擇了與生活“和解”,并理性接納多種“差異性”,對(duì)人生、社會(huì)、生命、人性有了更多包容性理解。此后,萬方塑造了一個(gè)個(gè)如“粘合劑”般的女性形象,這些形象“粘合”不同人生的能力與萬方的審美理想一起,體現(xiàn)著作家心中所持守的“對(duì)不同價(jià)值標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的客觀理解”和一種“對(duì)人本身的寬容”。同時(shí),萬方也書寫了一系列和諧與不和諧的兩性關(guān)系,其間所強(qiáng)調(diào)的對(duì)兩性“差異性”的理解、包容和接納,也體現(xiàn)了萬方“對(duì)價(jià)值多元化現(xiàn)實(shí)主體的承認(rèn)、尊重和平等看待”。此外,萬方更加看重人的自由心性狀態(tài),提倡“順勢(shì)”、“順流”的達(dá)觀態(tài)度。她不再刻意編織故事,也不再糾纏自己對(duì)人生的種種疑問,她所欣賞的“順流而下”、“順勢(shì)而為”的人生智慧,透露的是她“對(duì)自己價(jià)值觀念的執(zhí)著與恪守”。
