《地下鐵道》的后現(xiàn)代歷史敘事書(shū)寫(xiě)研究

在后現(xiàn)代主義思潮觸及歷史哲學(xué)范疇之后,宏大歷史敘事的真實(shí)性和權(quán)威性受到了普遍的質(zhì)疑。研究者開(kāi)始從“真實(shí)”和“虛構(gòu)”來(lái)重新思考?xì)v史本質(zhì)和歷史書(shū)寫(xiě)的使命。歷史的書(shū)寫(xiě)總是離不開(kāi)權(quán)力關(guān)系和意識(shí)形態(tài)的約束。對(duì)歷史問(wèn)題和歷史敘述的重新認(rèn)知也從歷史哲學(xué)范疇延伸到文學(xué)維度。建構(gòu)于后現(xiàn)代主義的小說(shuō)有著鮮明的自我指涉特征,既回歸歷史又質(zhì)疑歷史,試圖揭示歷史掩蓋下的文化政治意味。非裔美國(guó)作家科爾森·懷特黑德的長(zhǎng)篇小說(shuō)《地下鐵道》對(duì)美國(guó)內(nèi)戰(zhàn)前的社會(huì)背景進(jìn)行歷史性關(guān)照,充分發(fā)揮想象,虛構(gòu)人物和故事情節(jié),既反映了黑奴的生存狀態(tài),又體現(xiàn)了作者對(duì)邊緣化的黑人族群命運(yùn)的深切關(guān)懷。本文將《地下鐵道》置于后現(xiàn)代歷史語(yǔ)境,擬用海登·懷特的后現(xiàn)代歷史敘事學(xué)和琳達(dá)·哈琴的后現(xiàn)代歷史書(shū)寫(xiě)元小說(shuō)作為主要理論框架,探討《地下鐵道》的后現(xiàn)代歷史敘事書(shū)寫(xiě)手法,從而深究懷特黑德的文化政治意圖和策略。首先,從“歷史書(shū)寫(xiě)元小說(shuō)”的角度解讀作品,認(rèn)為其既具有元小說(shuō)強(qiáng)烈的自我指涉性,又悖謬地關(guān)注外在的歷史現(xiàn)實(shí)。懷特黑德把小說(shuō)建立在歷史和現(xiàn)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)上,采用后現(xiàn)代反諷和戲仿的寫(xiě)作手法達(dá)到自揭虛構(gòu)的目的,突顯了歷史的主觀(guān)性和虛構(gòu)性,暴露出深藏于文本的權(quán)力...
