基于CPU-GPU異構(gòu)環(huán)境的運算代價評估模型

【摘要】:傳統(tǒng)性能分析模型僅針對單個處理器,未考慮異構(gòu)系統(tǒng)中處理器之間數(shù)據(jù)的傳輸開銷,不能有效地評估異構(gòu)系統(tǒng)的性能。為此,提出一種運算代價評估模型。通過對計算平臺硬件參數(shù)和工作負載特征屬性的分層建模,結(jié)合LogGP模型和Roofline模型,估算不同執(zhí)行方式的運算時間成本。依照建模的粒度粗細,通過多層建模計算消耗的能量,采用LogGP模型實現(xiàn)CPU與GPU之間的數(shù)據(jù)傳輸,并運用EPCC測試集對運算代價模型進行驗證。實驗結(jié)果表明,該模型對處理不同大小數(shù)據(jù)集時的性能評估具有較高的準確性。
[Abstract]:The traditional performance analysis model is only for a single processor and does not take into account the data transmission overhead between processors in heterogeneous systems, so it can not effectively evaluate the performance of heterogeneous systems. Therefore, a computational cost evaluation model is proposed. Through the hierarchical modeling of hardware parameters and workload characteristic attributes of the computing platform, combined with LogGP model and Roofline model, the computational time cost of different execution modes is estimated. According to the granularity of modeling, the energy consumed is calculated by multi-layer modeling, and the data transmission between CPU and GPU is realized by LogGP model, and the EPCC test set is used to verify the cost model. The experimental results show that the model is accurate for the performance evaluation of data sets of different sizes.
